Unlike many other Chiropractors that largely just manipulate the spine, I believe that adjustments do not hold well if there are muscular imbalances and neurological deficits in the body. My philosophy has been to determine the underlying muscular or neurological dysfunctions, rather than limiting my treatment only to the area of pain. Otherwise, the pain is managed temporarily but you’ll have to come back to my office if the underlying root cause was never resolved.
I’ve resolved many interesting and complicated cases over the years and have come to a point in my career where I enjoy tackling challenging cases deemed ‘unfixable’ by other health practitioners. I believe in results based medicine as much as evidence based medicine, and will exhaust every resource, including many of the various techniques
and methodologies listed below to get you back to an active and pain free life. This emphasis on the first-line treatment of muscle and nerve dysfunctions for common and stubborn clinical cases has gained me an impressive list of clientele and referral system from medical colleagues throughout the city.
I am a firm believer in pain prevention through physical fitness, and bring my decades of experience as a personal trainer to promote an injury free and active lifestyle.
I have always been a passionate student of Leadership, including leadership in business. I’ve attended numerous leadership conferences to learn from top business and political leaders such as Jim Collins (author of Good to Great), General Colin Powell (former US Secretary of State), John Maxwell (author of several leadership books), Colleen Barrett (President of SouthWest Airlines), Bono (Musician and Aids Activist), and many more.
I have led many initiatives in both business and non-profit organizations and successfully led a small struggling clinic in the downtown financial district and grew it into a large profitable multi-disciplinary clinic. I have a strong understanding in both business and the issues in the health care industry and continue to consult many existing and start up clinics.
For over a decade, I regularly provide interactive seminars on ergonomics, injury prevention, and fitness at the request of various law firms, banks and tech companies throughout the Financial District.
I am an adventure seeker and enjoy traveling around the world and activities such as scuba diving, surfing, and am an avid motorcyclist. I am also a sports enthusiast and played football with York University, and Semi-Professional football in the Northern Football Conference with the Oakville Longhorns. I also enjoy golf, hockey, baseball and snowboarding.
